The academy
Built around the child
Every player starts somewhere. PURE brings movement foundations, sport-specific skills and a sense of belonging together, with groups shaped around age and stage of development.
Everyone plays
A welcoming place for new and experienced players, with coaching and challenges suited to their age, ability and development.
Progress you can see
A clear pathway helps players and families recognise progress in skills, confidence and teamwork. Development is personal, supported by coach observations.
One academy, one kit, one standard — open to children from across the island.
Sports
The sports we plan to offer
Six programmes are planned, sharing one movement foundation. What runs at launch will depend on the venue and the coaching team we put in place.
Football
Ball mastery, movement off the ball and small-sided games on grass.
Basketball
Handling, footwork and team play, indoors or outdoors in the cooler parts of the day.
Swimming
Water confidence, swimming foundations and stroke development in a supported learning environment.
Badminton
Racquet control, footwork patterns and quick decisions in a small space.
Volleyball
Contact skills, reading the ball in the air, and a game that only works as a team.
Running and movement
Running mechanics, changing direction, jumping and landing — the layer underneath every other programme.
Pathway
A pathway a child can see
Three stages, shown as a simple meter that fills as a child develops — then an invitation that has to be earned.
Foundation
Build confidence through balance, coordination, movement and the fundamentals of sport. Placement will reflect each player’s age and readiness.
Developing
Putting it into the game. Skills hold up under pressure, and a child starts making their own decisions during play.
Performance
Consistent under real pressure, and able to lead a group. The full meter, in that child's own sport.
Then the Academy Team
Beyond the three stages there is the academy team itself — wearing the full crest. It is earned through what coaches observe in a child's own sport.
An earned team opportunity, rather than a fourth paid tier. Selection criteria will be shared as the academy develops.
